We have a half hour presentation and half hour q&a to 150 pupils at the boys high school in bishops stortford, hertfordshire on 23rd of april. It is a compulsory citizenship section of thier intinerary at 1pm
Until that time we will remain open to contributions from any and all members as to the content. Specifically we're hoping for someone on the lecture circuit sub team who has already got a half hour presentation ready. I appreciate half an hour is quite simply not long enough. In lieu of something we can use being donated, the hertfordshire chapter will be making a presentation and manning the q&a panel, which i think we will do very capably, but we will defer to anyone who has more experience and more functional content, as a matter of course.
All content will be considered and i think selection will be made by the students of the school, who have the best ability to choose what will be most relevent and functional to that specific audience. The topic of the presentation should be sustainability and a systems approach to earth as opposed to politics and linear production/consumption.
If its left to us we will be doing a show of hands at the beggining for an assortment of topics to try to make some foundation agreements between the presenters and the audience.
Then a twenty five to forty minute presentation, and then questions.
I also want to encourage the students to use twitter during the presentation to have conversations related to topics we raise, and to vote for whether the presentation lasts for 25 or forty minutes, and in that way extend or decrease q&a. Thats just an idea and we're open to suggestions
