Not really sure where to post this anymore, just because the individual freeman section of the forum has disappeared... If you think it should go somewhere else i will gladly move it.
There's a lot of stuff about freeman scattered across the internet. Hundreds of examples of when people have used freeman in court, and been successful. I'm yet to come across any examples of when it's been used and failed.
So, is there any truth in it? Has anyone tried and failed? There's also thousands of people saying "no, its rubbish..." but none of them seem to have any concrete evidence. They're just basing their decision on the fact that it can't be true... can it?
If there is truth in it, how does one go about using it?
This is purely from a curiosity point of view - I'm not due in court!!
Any help (with hard evidence) would be greatly appreciated.
I'm no expert on this subject, you should probably check out the forums at:

For questions on this subject, rather than TZM forums
Yes, there have been many cases where people have failed, but not because it doesn't work. From what I've read, the reason for failure is usually confusion, getting tricked into it, or simply giving up and submitting (consenting). You need to be very aware of what's going on so that you can respond (only when appropriate) in a non-consenting way. For this reason: use with caution!
The procedure is detailed here:

I suggest you ask in the tpuc forums first (or simply read existing posts as there are many that already cover it).
